Margaret Livingston lead a very easy, happy life. Born in England in 1737 to a nobel family, she was given everything she could have wanted and more. She was spoiled beyond belief, but she was taught to be thankful for what she was given. Despite being raised to have manners, the posh life she lived went to her head, as it did for many young men and women in that age. She disregarded those who were less than her, and was undoubtably selfish. Though, to her parents, she was nothing if not the perfect lady. However, when she was seventeen years old, her ways changed. Margaret fell in love with a man who was the opposite of everything she believed in. He was a poor farmer, with nothing to his name, but for some reason, that didn’t matter.
She ran away to be with him, taking a few pieces of her jewellery to sell for money, and married him in an instant. From that moment on, what she wanted most was a child. Though, after years of trying without success, Margaret could feel her husband pulling away from her. So, she resorted to desperate measures. She met a devilish demon and sold her soul. But Margaret didn’t know what selling her soul meant. As soon as she had her child, she became a monster. Not being able to look her son or husband in the face out of guilt, Margaret ran away once again.
She travelled all over Europe making men and women do her bidding. It was entertaining for a while, but she got terribly bored manipulating people with her power. She was incredibly bitter after leaving her child and started taking in other monsters under her wing. It filled the hole in her heart for a little while, but there was always the nagging feeling that she missed out on the most important part of her life. That was why she liked to annoy Samuel so much; he served as one of the greatest distractions she’s ever met.
Margaret is often misunderstood. She’s loud and opinionated, and often performs evil deeds with little to no remorse, but underneath it all she is a very kind and caring person. She has a soft spot for misfits and broken things. While she might be manipulative, she puts her maternal instincts above all else.

Relationships:
Samuel Clarke (Love Interest):

Margaret knew there was a mutual attraction between Samuel and herself, but she never bothered to act on it. Their relationship was all about a game. Both of them wanted nothing more but to win. So, she drove him up the wall, and he did the same.

James Dawson (Friend):

James was a twisted soul, Margaret knew, but she liked having him around. She took care of him, and treated him with the respect that his mother never gave him. She enjoyed spending time with him, and they had a mutual understanding. They don’t talk about the mushy stuff; they’re both too closed off for that.

Benji Reid (Friend):

Margaret cared for Benji, even if he didn’t exactly care for her back. She didn’t mind, knowing that was just the kind of person he was. Still, she doesn’t fear showing him her dark side. Sometimes, that was all Benji saw of her. Though, she does treat him like a son.
