Name: Katherine JamesAge: 25 years oldSpecies: WitchOccupation: Intern at Bank of America

Being the elder of the two James children, Katherine always thought it was her responsibility to take care of her younger brother. Though she was only three years older than him, Katherine always put Nathan first, often forgetting about her own problems or duties. She was the calm and collected sibling, but her parents constantly had to remind her to keep her head out of the clouds and stay focused on a path to success. She knew they were right, and despite having powers people would kill for, Katherine knew she couldn’t take any short cuts. Her parents’ car accident set this mindset in high-gear.
Without her mother and father, Katherine thrived. She thrived with them in her life, but she refused to let their death hold her back. Being raised by her aunt and uncle, Katherine threw herself into her school work, eventually earning herself a full ride to the University of Nevada and UCLA. Though, she chose the former to stay close to her brother. She knew Nathan took their parents’ death much harder than she did, and she wanted to be there for him whenever he needed her. Even if he refused to acknowledge her help. She continued to work hard at University, following in her father’s footsteps. Katherine even made it to graduate school. Once she was finished, one of her father’s old friends gave her a job interning at the Bank of America. Her life was on track; she didn’t even need magic to do it.
However, when her aunt and uncle came to her asking to do something she was raised never to do, Katherine had her reservations. Of course her parents taught her how to use her magic and control it, but to use her powers to create an entirely new species seemed drastic. Though, after the severity of the situation was explained, she had no choice but to help. All in all, she knew what she did was right, but she can’t help but think of the consequences of her actions. So, she ignores the possibilities and scenarios that her brain comes up with and goes back to her normal life. The life her parents wanted her to have. Katherine had done her part, she was done with it all now.
Katherine prides herself on her intelligence and her ability to stay out of other people’s business. Nathan was the only exception. She always injects herself in his life, no matter how much he tries to push her away. She worries easily, but hardly shares her concerns with others. Why would she bother making their lives harder by making them worry with her? It was much simpler to bare her burdens on her own.

Relationships:
Nathan James (Brother):

When they were younger, the two James siblings helped each other with their magic lessons. As they grew older, they still helped each other, but to a lesser degree. More often than not Katherine would chase after Nathan to get his school work done or to do his chores. More than anything, Katherine just wants her brother to be happy.

Georgia James (Aunt):

Georgia and Katherine were one in the same. Both always tried to take care of everyone around them. When Georgia started taking care of Katherine, Katherine started taking care of Georgia. Her aunt is one of the only people she allows herself to be vulnerable around. They understand each other. It was nice to have her around.

Trevor James (Uncle):

Katherine and Trevor were never exactly close. She felt as if she was a burden on him, and kept her distance. Katherine never asked her uncle for anything, but she always appreciated when he took Nathan and her out for dinners. He was family; it didn’t matter if they were close or not. Katherine would always be there for him, even if he wasn’t always going to be there for her.
